Student Video Contest

If you’re a student with a learning disability who uses technology to succeed at school, LD@school wants to hear from YOU!
Upload a short video to our Dropbox file that tells us how technology helps you learn in the classroom and/or what your teachers do to help you use it.
Video entries may be used in the creation of a new learning module for teachers.
All video submissions are due by Friday, March 17, 2017. All entries will be entered into a random draw for one $50 gift card from the entrant’s choice of: Amazon, Indigo, or Staples.
All submissions must be accompanied by a consent form signed by student(s) and/or parent(s) (if participants are under the age of 18), which authorizes the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario to post the video content on the LD@school website.

How to enter:

  1. Upload your video to Dropbox by clicking here. (Dropbox is a free storage website that allows users to share large files and will ensure that only the LD@school team is able to access your video.)
  2. Upload your completed consent forms to Dropbox as well, by clicking the link in step 1. LD@school must receive one consent form for each video participants in order for entries to be considered valid. Click here to access a PDF version of the consent form.
  3. Ensure that your entry is made by Friday, March 17, 2017 in order to qualify!

Teacher Video Contest

If you teach students with learning disabilities and you use technology to support these students, LD@school wants to hear from YOU!

Upload a short video to our Dropbox file that answers either or both of the questions below:

  1. How do you encourage the use of technology in your classroom to benefit students with LDs?
  2. How do you combat the stigma associated with the use of assistive technology in your classroom?

Video entries may be used in the creation of a new LD@school technology learning module for educators.

All video submissions are due by Friday, March 10, 2017. All entries will be entered into a random draw for one class pizza party.

All submissions must be accompanied by a consent form signed by the participants (or by parents of any participants under the age of 18), which authorizes the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario to post the video content on the LD@school website.
