VIDEO: Reading Interventions – Taking a school-wide approach

When the Right to Read report came out in 2022, click here to access the OHRC Right to Read Executive Summary and Key Recommendations) many schools in Ontario reviewed and changed their reading programs. LD@School visited All Saints Catholic Elementary School in Toronto to learn more about how they have changed their supports for struggling readers.

All Saints Catholic Elementary School recognizes that a successful reading program empowers the staff, volunteers, parents, and students, and will help underpin a lifelong love of reading.

To help you start making the change to evidence-based literacy instruction, LD@school created the Parent Reading Guide: What parents need to know about reading skills and struggling readers. This guide was intended to help improve the understanding of the Science of Reading among your staff and concerned parents.
