About the presenter:

Jenny Van Remortel has been an educator for over 30 years. (11 years in the classroom, 20 years in Spec. Ed.) In addition to assessing and providing intervention for students, she writes IEPs and Intervention Plans, leads team meetings with psychologists, confers with the Occupational and Speech therapists, and supports teachers and parents. She is a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist, certified by CERI (Center for Effective Reading Instruction). She has completed Orton-Gillingham Associate Part One training and has had significant training and extensive experience teaching Direct Instruction programs. She is on the parent support team of Dyslexia Canada.
