About the Webinar
As part of Learning Disabilities Awareness Month, this webinar offers parents, caregivers, and educators a positive and practical look at the experiences of students with learning disabilities.
Through concrete examples, practical tools, and evidence-based strategies, Alex-Andrée Madore and Michèle Minor-Corriveau will explore ways to support confidence, independence, reading, writing, and student success. The session will also highlight the importance of creating inclusive learning environments where students can recognize their strengths and reach their potential.
Participants will learn to:
- recognize common challenges and their impact on learning
- adopt a more inclusive, strengths-based approach
- support student confidence, independence, and success
- use evidence-based strategies to support reading and writing
Participants will leave with simple, practical strategies they can put into action right away.
Small changes can make a meaningful difference, one learner at a time.

About the Presenter – Alex-Andrée Madore
Alex-Andrée Madore is a psychologist specializing in clinical and school psychology and serves as the lead psychologist at the Nouvelon Catholic School Board. Active in her community, she has served on the board of the Learning Disability Association of Sudbury. In 2023, she received the Literacy Leadership Recognition Award from the International Dyslexia Association of Ontario for her commitment to research-based practices.
About the Presenter – Michèle Minor-Corriveau, PhD
Michèle Minor-Corriveau has been a speech-language pathologist for more than 25 years and is an associate professor at the School of Speech-Language Pathology at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. Her expertise and research focus on reading and writing difficulties. She received a teaching excellence award from the Faculty of Education and Health in 2019 and is also a co-author and adapter of several literacy resources.
Alex-Andrée and Michèle are both recipients of the 2026 Civic Award from the City of Greater Sudbury for their outstanding contribution to the Francophone community. Together, they have developed an extensive collection of free, research-based educational resources to support student success in reading and writing.
