About the Video
This video explores practical ways to use assistive technology to reduce barriers and support students in accessing, engaging with, and demonstrating their learning. It introduces assistive technology as a broad set of tools and features that can support access to instruction, the learning environment, and assessment.
The video focuses on common assistive technology tools and classroom applications, including tools for accessing and producing text, supporting writing, organization, and thinking, and interacting with and working within digital texts. It also highlights the importance of selecting tools that are safe, reliable, available, compatible with existing systems, and appropriate for student needs.
